Capital Projects
No other country but our own could have built Hiram or named it so or kept the College running as it has. [Those] who made it what it was and is would have been ordinary, save in a democracy where people, acting together on their own resolve, have been expected to think great thoughts and perform mighty actions.
--Dr. Mary Bosworth Treudley, The First Hundred Years of Hiram College, 1850-1950
Current capital projects at Hiram are focused on facilities that will most substantially affect how students experience the College. New and renovated spaces will better support students' education, health and wellness, access to resources, and extracurricular activities. These capital projects will serve current students today, influence prospective students, and leave a lasting impression on all campus visitors.
- Black Box Theatre and Renovated Performing Arts Facility: $2 million
- The James A. Barrow Field Station: $900,000
- The Harner Building Project for Studio and Classroom Art: $2 million (architect's rendering below)
