Endowed faculty positions, such as a named faculty chair or an endowed professorship, enable Hiram College to attract outstanding faculty to our campus and to reward our exceptional teachers.

Endowed Faculty Positions at Hiram College
The Herbert L. and Pauline Wentz Andrews Chair in Biomedical Humanities
- Established by Thomas W. Andrews '59, in honor of his parents, Herbert L. and Pauline Wentz Andrews, to recognize a member of the faculty who exemplifies the College's commitment to interdisciplinary education within the liberal arts, with preference given to a faculty member who plays a leadership role in the sciences.

The Howard S. Bissell Chair of Liberal Arts
- Established by George and Margaret Beaver Bissell to create an endowed faculty position and symposium in the name of George's father, Hiram Trustee Howard Bissell to recognize his father's broad range of academic interests and dedication to Hiram College.

The George and Arlene Foote Chair in Ethics
- Both the Chair in Ethics and the Center for the Study of Ethical Issues are supported by an endowment created by George and Arlene Foote for the purpose of leading Hiram's "Ethics Across the Curriculum" initiative.

- Established by Martha Kenyon '26 and Elizabeth Kenyon Andress '26 in honor of their father, Professor of English John Samuel Kenyon, to recognize outstanding teaching in the field of English.
