A new Fine Art Center
Acquisition of a facility located adjacent to the Hiram campus has enabled planning for the development of a new fine art center at Hiram College. Funding is needed to renovate the facility in a manner which strengthens the ability for our art faculty to prepare students for meaningful futures in the fine arts and in art-related careers.
When completed, the fine art center will provide the Hiram campus with much needed public gallery space that will allow Hiram students, faculty, and the Northeast Ohio community to experience and engage the visual arts in an aesthetically appropriate, professional exhibit environment. The new facility will establish Hiram as a premier institution for studying the fine arts in a liberal arts context.
Planned features of the new facility include a digital art lab, additional darkroom and photo studio space, printmaking and ceramics facilities, individual studio work spaces, and art gallery, and meeting spaces such as a seminar room and 60 seat amphitheater.
Funding is needed to make our dreams for a new fine art center a reality.
